N.HOOLYWOOD

Clothing that only a man who understands vintage clothing could create.
2002 | TOKYO, JAPAN | Daisuke Obana

N.HOOLYWOOD is a brand launched in 2002 by Daisuke Obana, who was a buyer and staff member at the Harajuku vintage clothing shop go-getter, after he started remaking vintage clothing.

With details that appeal to vintage clothing enthusiasts, yet updated with a modern twist, the brand has gained popularity, and in 2007, it presented its collection at Paris Fashion Week, marking its full-fledged entry into the international market.

Incidentally, the brand name comes from the nickname "Mr. Hollywood," which Obana earned during his time as a buyer because he frequently went to Hollywood to purchase goods, and also from the fact that he currently owns a home in North Hollywood. However, he deliberately changed the spelling from the place name Hollywood.

The brand has many fans for its basic items, such as heathered zip-up hoodies that pay attention to details not only in the material and silhouette but also in the zippers , drawstrings, ribbing, and stitching, as well as T-shirts made from supple yet durable Sea Island cotton and Supima cotton.

Furthermore, the brand's items are divided into several lines, including the COMPILE LINE, which handles suits and shirts with simple silhouettes but a reputation for excellent tailoring, and the TEST PRODUCT EXCHANGESERVICE, which is inspired by military wear. However, every item is of high quality and shows meticulous attention to detail, something that only Obana, with its experience handling vintage clothing from all eras, could create.
